- I've been a crafty type person all my life - I started out making clothes for my cabbage-patch doll on an old singer sewing machine (a very old one with the turn-handle!), & graduated to making clothes for myself & friends. Beading & making jewellery had always been a small interest, but after discovering an amazing bead shop, I got the beading-bug! I started out just making stuff for myself, but ended up with so much jewellery, that I started selling it to the girls at work just to get rid of it. So one thing led to another, & now I have studio.k.jewellery - the perfect excuse to feed my addiction! I specialise in one-off creations of gems & silver. I like to make statement, chunky type pieces that are individual & modern. I also adore Swarovski crystals (oh for a job working with them all day!) & occasionally branch into more delicate feminine pieces just so I can use them. Of course I love doing custom work, which is the majority of my current projects. I find it very satisfying to work with someone to achieve a piece that they'll love & wear often. But I still have pieces that I love so much that I won't sell to anyone!
